A common fare system applies to all the tram, trolleybus and city bus routes. Tickets can be bought from different newsstands, information desks in supermarkets etc. Kiosks signed "R-Kiosk" would be the best place, as the whole choice of hourly and day tickets is usually available there. Tickets for single trips for an increased fare can be bought from drivers; these are not valid as hourly tickets. There aren't any ticket machines in Tallinn.
The zone system of the Harju county applies to suburban bus routes (numbered 100 upwards). Tickets can be bought only from the driver. Tickets in suburban trains of Elektriraudtee and Edelaraudtee are sold by rowing conductors.
